Hosted by WPRI-TV’s Erica Ricci
Erica Ricci is an Emmy Award-winning journalist for WPRI 12’s morning show and parent of 3 children, 2 of whom are WBCA students. Prior to 12 News, Erica spent 6 years at Boston25 as a part-time reporter, where she covered the arrest of Aaron Hernandez, was on scene when the Watertown manhunt broke out following the Boston Marathon bombings, and reported from the side of the highway during the first snowstorm ever to shut down travel in the Commonwealth.
Erica also contributed to Boston25’s coverage of the opioid epidemic with a story about the silver lining to the crisis— an increase in organ donors. That story garnered Erica her first Emmy award.
Erica works only part-time at 12 News because her family is her priority and full-time job. Erica is the President of the Parent Volunteer Body at WBCA and helps facilitate a small group for married couples at Ocean State Baptist Church. In any spare time, she loves working out and cooking.
